BCECE Eligibility Criteria: Qualification, Age Criteria & Basic Criteria

BCECE Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria is varied for different different courses for graduates courses i.e.engineering, technology, pharmacy, etc. Check the qualification, Basics & other eligibility from below:

Basic Criteria:

  • Nationality:Should be an Indian citizen.
  • Candidates who belong from Bihar state can apply.
  • Candidates who are applying for BCECE Exam; their parents must be a citizen of Bihar State.
  • If any candidates parents are working in Bihar government their child can apply for BCECE.

Age Criteria:

  • Medical Courses: Should be 17 years age as on 31st December 2018.
  • Engineering & Pharmacy Courses: No age limit criteria for engineering & pharmacy courses.
  • Agriculture Courses: Should be 16 years as on 31st August 2018.

Qualification Criteria:

For Engineering & Technology (4 years Course):

  • Qualifying Exam: Muse  be pass 10+2 or its equivalent examination from the recognized board.
  • Subjects: Should be  Physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects and anyone elective subject from chemistry, biology or technical vocational subject in their equivalent examination.
  • Minimum Marks: For general candidates need to score minimum 45% marks or for reserved candidates need to score 40% marks in the intermediate or equivalent exam.
  • Appearing Candidates can also apply.

For Pharmacy (4 years Course):

  • Qualifying Exam: Must be passed or appeared in 10+2 or its equivalent exam from recognized board/university.
  • Subjects:  Should be physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects and one elective subject from mathematics/biology subjects in their passing exam.
  • Minimum Marks: For general candidates need to score minimum 45% marks or for reserved candidates need to score 40% marks in the intermediate or equivalent exam.
  • Those who are appearing for appeared can also apply.

  • Qualifying Exam: Must be passed or appeared in 10+2/higher secondary/ISc or its equivalent examination from the recognized university/boards.
  • Subjects: Should be English (Language & Literature), Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology) in their passing exam.
  • Those who are also pursuing can apply for BCECE 2018.

BCECE Reservation Criteria:

As per the government of Bihar; there is also reservation seats policy for different different categories. Through the below given table candidates can get the idea about the seat reservation criteria.

  • As per the conducting authority decision 50% are reserved for the general category candidates.
  • Candidates who are not a citizen of Bihar state will not claim the reservation for the seats which are reserved according to the category for admission in engineering colleges in Bihar.
  • Disabled Quota: Those who belong from disabled, also eligible for 4%  reservations.
  • Service Men’s Quota (SMQ): As per the colleges seats availability (Colleges Norms).
