How to Check the CDS Result 2020?

UPSC will release the result of CDS (II) 2020 in online mode in PDF format. Candidates should follow the below-mentioned steps to check their results.

  1. Visit the official website of UPSC- upsc.gov.in
  2. Go to the “Examination” tab.
  3. Click on “Active Examinations” from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on “Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2020”.
  5. Click on the download of Combined Defence Services (II) result 2020.
  6. A PDF with Roll Number of selected candidates will appear on the screen. Press “Ctrl + F” and type your Roll Number. If it is there in the list, you have qualified in the CDS (II) 2020 Written Exam.
  7. If you have cleared the CDS exam, Download and save the Result of CDS (II) 2020 for future

UPSC CDS Result Scorecard

UPSC will release the CDS 2020 scorecard along with the final result. CDS (II) 2020 scorecard will be released in PDF format. Candidates will be able to check their marks secured in the written exam as well as in SSB Interview along with their roll number and name.

How does the UPSC calculate the score of the CDS result?

UPSC calculates the score of candidates as per the process mentioned below-

  • Candidates will get +1 mark for each correct answer.
  • For the incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted as negative marking.
  • If candidates answer more than one option it will be treated as the wrong answer and will be counted as negative marking.

UPSC CDS Mark Sheet

UPSC will release the mark sheet of CDS which will comprise the marks acquired by qualified applicants alongside aspirants roll number, date of birth, name, total marks got in written test and SSB Interview and last absolute marks.

Candidates can download their mark sheet by following these:

  2. Go to ‘What’s New’ section
  3. Click on the notification title ‘Combined Defence Services Examination Marks of Recommended Candidates’
  4. The mark sheet will appear on the screen
  5. The download mark sheet and take printout

What after the declaration of the final CDS 2020 Result?

The individuals who qualify the written test of CDS 2020 will be qualified to show up for the SSB interview and Intelligence and Personality Test. So as to qualify the written test, applicants need to score more than the CDS cut off. There are independent cut off marks for all the four foundations IMA, INA, AFA, and OTA. The SSB call letter will be sent to all the aspirants at their enlisted email ID, the admit card of SSB will have the date, announcing the time, and address of the SSB centre. All candidates are required to convey the accompanying archives for the SSB session:

  • SSB admit card
  • 10th and 12th class mark sheet
  • Graduation and Post graduation (if mentioned in the application form) degree and mark sheet
  • NCC certificates (if required)
  • Identity proof – Aadhar card, Voter ID Card, Pan Card, Passport
  • Candidates who are in their final year and awaiting their results will have to present a certificate issued from the Principal.

Note: For the first time, all the above documents should be presented in their original format.

Documents Required After CDS Result

The qualified candidates are also required to submit the original certificates in support of age (Date of Birth), educational qualifications, NCC (C) certificate along with attested copies to Army Headquarters:

  • SSB call letter
  • Matriculation or 10th class mark sheet
  • Intermediate or 12th or equivalent certificate
  • Original Graduation degree certificate with mark sheets
  • Post-graduation degree certificate and mark sheets (if mentioned in the qualification filled in the application form)
  • NCC certificates (if required)
  • Identity proof like Aadhar card, Voter ID Card, Pan Card, Passport
  • The final year students, as well as candidates whose results are awaited, need to have a certificate issued from the Principal.

Medical Test after CDS Result
