The Exam will be held in 16th September 2018, the exam is done in the online mode. As per the latest updates, Examination will be conducted via online mode form this year. It is expected that exam pattern will also be changed. CTET Online Application Form 2018 is expected to be released on 22nd June 2018 at ctet.nic.in/.  However, there is no official news regarding the CTET Application form, but as per the sone news websites it is expected to be released on 22nd June.

CTET | Application Form

As per the Latest notification of the CBSE, Notification will be release on 12th June 2018, and filling application form will be started from 22nd June 2018. Last Date of filling the Application Form is 19th July 2018. Candidates can fill the CTET Application Form the Official website. The Application form will be done only in Online mode. In the last years the examination was held in Pen and Paper Mode, but CBSE Making major changes from this years. As per the recent reports, CBSE – the conducting body, has decided to hold the exam in online mode.

CTET | Application Fee

General / OBC For Paper- I or II: Rs 600/-

For Both Paper- I & II: Rs 1,000/-

ST/SC/PWD For Paper- I or II: Rs 300/-

For Both Paper- I & II: Rs 500/-

CTET | Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who are appearing the Exam, Should Satisfy the CTET Eligibility Criteria. For the Class 1st to 5th are different and For 5th to 8th are different, we discuss the Eligibility Criteria you can check Below:

For Class I-V (any) For class VI- VIII (any)
Must have completed class 12th with at least 50% marks or should have cleared or appeared in final year diploma of education.


Must have at least 50% in 12th or cleared or appearing in final year of diploma in elementary education as per the NCTE Regulations 2002.


50% in 12th + appearing or appeared for 4 year graduate degree


50% in 12th + appeared or appearing in final year exam of diploma of education (2 years).


Bachelor’s Degree + appeared/Appearing in final year of Education

Graduation degree + passed or appearing in final year exam of (2 year) diploma elementary education


Graduation degree with 50% at least + passed or appearing in the final year of bachelor’s of education


Graduation with 40% + cleared or appearing in final exam of bachelor’s of education according to NCTE education


12th class with 50% + cleared or appearing in final year exam of A.Ed/B.sc.Ed/B.A.Ed


Graduation degree with 50% + cleared or appearing in 1 year B.ed progra

CTET | Exam Pattern

CTET Exam will be conducted in 2 phases:

  • Paper  I.
  • PaperII.

Paper I is conducted for those Candidates who appears to become teacher from class 1st to class 5th, and Paper II is conducted for candidates who appears to become teacher form class 5th to class 8th. Candidates also apply for both the papers. both the papers are conduct in the MCQ(Multiple Choice) type. Candidates must Secure 60% to qualify the Exam.

CTET | Admit Card

CTET Admit Card will be release before the 10 to 15 days of the examination, the authority will release the Admit Card on the official website, candidates can download the admit card only in the online mode. no other mode to download the admit card. Both the admit card for Paper I and for Paper II will be release separately.

CTET | Result

CTET Result will be declared after the 1 ot 2 months of the examination. the CBSE will release the result of the Exam. Candidates can check their result by entering the Roll No. and Date of Birth(DOB).
