DMRC has released the notification for 3428 different executive and non executive posts. The maximum vacancies are for Maintainer, 1393 vacancies. The number of vacancies are for Customer Relations Assistant (CRA) 1100 vacancies, and Station Controller / Train Operator (SC / TO) overall 662 vacancies. DMRC selection process are:

  • Written Exam
  • Group Discussion
  • Personal Interview

DMRC written exam is scheduled on different dates for different posts. It is organized in two sessions on the same day i.e. Paper I and Paper II with objective type questions. Paper I test are the aptitude and technical skills while Paper II test is the language (English) skills of the candidate.

The Group Discussion round are depend on the verbal communication and non- verbal behavior of the candidate. The jury gets to know about the cooperation ability and decision making ability of the candidate.

The last selection process of DMRC is Personal Interview. The questions asked in DMRC interview range from questions about Educational Qualification, Extra-curricular activities, Personal life, work experience, outlook on contemporary issues etc.

Candidates are recruited to various executive or non-executive posts through DMRC. There are a total of 3428 vacancies offered by DMRC with maximum vacancies for maintainer post (non-executive) i.e. 1393 posts. The details of the selection process followed for different posts is given below:

DMRC Selection Process for Assistant Manager (E01- 06)

The DMRC Asstt. Manager (Electrical, Civil, S&T, Operations, HR and Finance) includes the three  selection process. The candidates have to qualify each stage to be recruited to the desired post. The  DMRC Selection Process are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • GDPI (Group Discussion and Personal Interview)
  • Medical Examination in Executive/ Technical/ Non-technical category or the adjudging the degree of disability in required category as the case may be.

DMRC Selection Process for SC/TO (NE 01) and CRA (NE 02)

The DMRC Recruitment to the post of Station Controller/Train Operator (NE 01) and Customer Relations Assistant (CRA) is a four stage process. The various stages in the DMRC Selection Process are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Psycho Test (Qualifying in nature)
  • Personal Interview
  • Medical Examination in Aye-one category

DMRC Selection Process for JE (NE 03-06)

It is a non-executive post which has the maximum applications per year. The selection process will be post is a 3 stage process. The candidates have to qualify all the stages given below:

  • Written Test
  • Personal Interview
  • Medical examinations in Aye-one category not below Aye-three

DMRC Selection Process for Account Asstt. (NE 07)

The Account Asstt. is a non-executive post offered by DMRC. The selection process for recruitment to the given post is a two stage process. There is no interview for this process. The selection process  are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Medical Examination in Cee one category

DMRC Selection Process for Maintainer (NE 08)

DMRC has released maximum vacancies  of Maintainer i.e. 1393 vacancies. There will be no interview. The DMRC Selection process for Maintainer is given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Medical Examination in Bee-One category

DMRC Selection Process for Stenographer

The post of Stenographer is a three stage process. There is no interview for this process. The candidates who want to be recruited to the desired post have to score marks equivalent to or more than the minimum scores given in the DMRC Cutoff. The DMRC Selection Process are given below:

  • Written Examination
  • Skill test (qualifying in nature)
  • Medical Examination

Physical Standards

In order to be selected by the process of DMRC recruitment, candidates must satisfy the medical fitness criteria as well. According to the various posts, the criteria of physical standards tend to vary. It is important to check the specific details for a post, before applying.

The DMRC 2017 physical standards that a candidate must meet are given below:

  • All candidates will be required to undergo some medical fitness tests.
  • If the candidate is taking the medical exam for the first time, the expenses will be paid by DMRC.
  • If a candidate seeks extension for joining or re-examination, then the second time medical examination’s expenditure will have to be borne by the candidate.
  • A noteworthy point is that applicants who have undergone Lasik surgery are not suitable for any posts other than Office Assistant, Account Assistant and Stenographer.

In addition to the written examination, the candidate must clear the medical test to be selected by DMRC. Those who fail to pass the exam by desired standards will not be given any other job. The final decision will be taken by Delhi Metro Railway Corporation in this case.

  1. Sir I applied for dmrc ke 2018…I has make an error…In qualification name section in place of 12th I marked on diploma or equivalent…can I fill another form? ..Please clarify.
