GATE ME Exam 2020 was conducted in the first shift. There were 65 (multiple choice and numerical answer type) questions in the exam paper for a total of 100 marks in the first shift. Forenoon Session
- The difficulty level of the examination was Medium
- The General Aptitude Section was fairly easy.
- Maths section was difficult as compared to last year.
- Conceptual questions were asked from Design Topics
- 10 Marks questions were asked from Fluid Mechanics
- 20+ time taking and lengthy questions were asked from Numerical Ability.
- 2 questions from Vibration Section were confusing.
- 2 or 1 questions from Trusses, Metrology, Forming, Sheet Metal, Convention, Radiation, Heat Exchanger and LMTD.
Afternoon Session
- The difficulty level of this exam of GATE 2020 was Medium to Tough
- General Aptitude Section was comparatively very easy from previous year
- The thermal section was very easy.
- Questions from SOM and Production were very tough and took a lot of time to solve.
- There were more than twenty-five questions from NAT
- There were 16 marks questions from Manufacturing
- There were 12 marks questions from Thermodynamics
- There were fewer questions from TOM as compared to last year.
