IBPS SO Eligibility Criteria 2018

1. Age (as on 01st November 2018)

  • Candidates Maximum Age – 30 years
  • Candidates Minimum Age – 20 years

Candidates who before 02.11.1988 and who born after 01.11.1998 (Inclusive Both dates) are not eligible.

2. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit

  • Candidates who are from SC/ST category also get 5 years relaxation.
  • Candidates who are from OBC category also get 3 years relaxation.
  • Candidates who are from PWD category also get 10 years relaxation.
  • Candidates who belong to Ex-Servicemen category also get 5 years relaxation.
  • Candidates who belong to Jammu & Kashmir domiciled during 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 category also get 5 years relaxation.
  • Candidates who affected by 1984 riots also get 5 years relaxation.

3. Educational Qualifications

    • A Candidates who have Bachelor Degree in Law (LLB) and enrolled as an advocate with Bar Council.

    • Candidates who are graduates or Graduate and Two Years Full-time Post Graduate degree or Two Years Full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management/Industrial Relations/HR/HRD/Social Work/Labour Law.##
  • Marketing Officer (Scale I)

    • Candidates who are Graduate and Two Years Full-time MMS (Marketing)/Two Years Full-time MBA (Marketing)/ Two Years Full-time PGDBA / PGDBM/ PGPM/PGDM with specialization in Marketing.

NOTE:

  • In the case of dual specializations, one of the fields of specialization must be in the prescribed field. In the case of major/minor specializations, the major specialization must be in the prescribed flow. Candidates with PG qualifications (MMS or MBA) / PG Diploma with more than two majors are not eligible to apply.
  • Candidates must ensure that the educational qualification they possess is in accordance with the prescribed educational qualifications mentioned in the announcement and that they meet the above eligibility criteria. No equivalent educational qualification will be considered eligible by IBPS or participating organizations.

4. Nationality/ Citizenship

  • Candidates who are a citizen of India/Nepal/Bhutan can apply for IBPS SO Exam.
  • Candidates who previously belong to Tibetan and came India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India also eligible.
  • Candidates who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, with the intention of permanently settling in India also eligible.
