IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2019 has been released by Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur along with the IIT JAM Notification. Candidates who are planning to apply for IIT JAM Examination need to check first the eligibility criteria, are they eligible or not for applying? IIT JAM will be organized every year by one of the IITs on a rotational basis for providing admission into the master or Ph.D. programs which are offered by Indian Institute of Technology, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Indian Institute of Information Science, National Institute of Technology, and Centrally Funded Institutions. Through the eligibility criteria, candidates will get the complete information about the eligibility criteria, what is minimum marks required to score for candidates in the qualification exams for being eligible. As the eligibility also different for the different category. There are no fixed criteria for each subject. If candidates apply for IIT JAM Examination and not meet the eligibility criteria their application process will be abandoned. It is advised to the candidates that make sure that before applying for IIT JAM check your eligibility criteria.

IIT JAM Eligibility Criteria 2019: Category Wise

  • For General and OBC Categories Candidates must have minimum 55% marks in the qualifying examination.
  • For SC/ST Categories candidates must have minimum 50% in the qualifying examination (5% Relaxation will be provided).
  • There is no age limit for appearing in the IIT JAM Examination.
  • Those who are in the final year or pursuing their engineering can also apply for IIT JAM Examination.

The application process has started from 1st Septemeber 2018 and available till 10th October 2018. The exam has to be scheduled on 10th February 2019.
