Sikkim TET 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Before applying the STET 2020 candidates must check the Sikkim TET Eligibility Criteria. here we discuss the eligibility criteria below;

Minimum Educational Qualification for Primary Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage)

  • The Candidates must have 12th or its equivalent with minimum aggregate 50% marks for unreserved candidates or 45% Marks for SC, ST, OBC candidates.
  • The candidates must have a 2 years diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed).     OR
  • The Candidates must have 12th or its equivalent with minimum aggregate 50% marks for unreserved candidates or 45% Marks for SC, ST, OBC candidates.
  • The candidates passed the 4 years  Bachelor of Elementary Education (B. El. Ed). OR
  • The Candidates must have 12th or its equivalent with minimum aggregate 50% marks for unreserved candidates or 45% Marks for SC, ST, OBC candidates.
  • The candidates must have a 2 years diploma in Education.

Minimum qualification for Graduate Teacher for classes VI-VIII (Elementary Stage)

  • The Candidates must have B.A./B.Sc./ with aggregate 50% marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % for SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC (State)and passed or appearing* in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (D. El. Ed.)    OR
  • The Candidates must have B.A./B.Sc. with aggregate 50 % marks for unreserved candidates and 45 % for SC, ST, OBC(Central), OBC(State) and passed in final year of 1/ 2 year Bachelor in Education (B. Ed.)  OR
  • The Candidates must have 12th or it’s equivalent with a minimum of aggregate 50% marks in for unreserved candidates and 45 % for SC, ST, OBC (Central), OBC (State) and have passed in the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education ( D. El. Ed).   OR
