The application process for recruitment of 68,500 assistant teacher posts in Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Department will run from 11 to 25 December 2018. At the same time, the Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET) will be held on November 18. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took this decision in the meeting convened on Friday to examine the paper leak case and preparations for the proposed teacher recruitment. Given the interests of the candidates, UPTET will now be held on November 18 instead of November 4. 18.75 lakh applications have been received for UPTET. On 10th December the result of UPTET will be declared and the next day only applications will be started for the recruitment of Assistant Teacher. Applications will run till December 25 and the examination will be held on January 6.
The year 2015 examination of BTC candidates will be held from November 1 to 3. The result will be declared before December 10 so that the candidates can apply for UPTET. The examination of the fourth semester of BTC 2015 was to be held from October 8 to 10, but due to the paper leak, the examination had to be canceled. To join the written examination for recruitment of more than 95 thousand assistant teachers, it is mandatory to complete the fourth semester of BTC. In the absence of BTC examination, candidates were feared that they would not be deprived of the next teacher’s recruitment. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath met the BTC delegation on this issue and assured him that the canceled examination will be done soon.
