Only the candidates who fulfil the UTET Eligibility Criteria released by the conducting board, Uttarakhand Board of Secondary Education (UBSE) can apply for UTET Examination. It is scheduled in the 1st week of November 2020 for fulfilling the vacant position available in the Uttarakhand State for Government Teachers. The paper is divided into two sections. Paper one is for those who are interested in teaching Class 1st to 5th. Similarly, Paper 2 is conducted for those who are interested in teaching classes 6th to 8th. The criteria are different for both papers. Here we are describing the eligibility via section wise.

UTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1

The Minimum qualification criteria for applying for Paper 1 or Primary teacher is given below:

  • Candidates who scored minimum 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) are eligible and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EL.Ed/ BTC).

Or

  • Candidates who scored minimum 45% marks in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent)and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) as per the Regulations 2002.

Or

  • Candidates who scored minimum 50% marks in Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) and 4-year preliminary Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.ED).

Or

  • Candidates who scored minimum 50% mark in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) and two years Diploma in Education (Special Education)

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their Graduation (or its equivalent) and two years Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ BTC.

Or

  • A candidate who is Siksha Mitra or who passed two years Diploma (D.EL.Ed) from IGNOU.

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their Graduation with at least 50% marks and D.Ed/B.Ed (Special Education)

UTET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Class VI-VIII)

The Minimum qualification criteria for applying for Paper 2 or Higher Primary teacher is given below:

  • Candidates who have completed their Graduation (or its equivalent) and passed or appearing in the final year of 2 years Diploma ((B.T.C/ D.EL.Ed) in Elementary Education.

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their  Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) in Education.

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their Graduation (or its equivalent) with minimum 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year Bachelor (B.Ed/L.T/Shiksha Shastri) in Education, in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their Senior Secondary (or it’s equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EL.ED).

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4 years B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.Sc.Ed.

Or

  • Candidates who have completed their Graduation with minimum 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education).
