Tier I Syllabus
The major sections asked in SSC CGL 2021-22 Tier I Exam are General Awareness, Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language. The candidates are required to make a proper 3-month Study Plan to crack the exam easily. Tier I exam is a Computer-based online exam with 50 questions for each section.
- General Intelligence & Reasoning: Analogies, similarities, and differences, spatial visualization,
spatial orientation, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory,
discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, and figural classification,
arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion, syllogistic
reasoning etc. - General Awareness: Questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity, Indian Constitution, scientific Research, etc.
These Questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline. - Quantitative aptitude: The questions will be based on arithmetical concepts and relationships between numbers and not on complicated arithmetical computation (The standard of the questions will be of 10+2 level).
- Reading Comprehension: Questions related to reading and writing comprehension.

Tier-II Syllabus
SSC CGL Tier-II is an online computer-based multiple-choice examination. The major sections asked in Mains Exam are Quantitative Aptitude, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics, General Studies (Finance and Economics).
- Arithmetic Ability: Problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship between Numbers, Fundamental Arithmetical Operations, Percentage, Ratio and Proportion, Average, Interest, Profit and Loss, Discount, Use of Table and Graphs, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio and Time, etc.
- English Language & Comprehension: Error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, prepositions, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc. There will be a question on passages and comprehension of passages also.

Tier III Syllabus
Tier-III of the SSC CGL exam is a descriptive exam to test the written skills of the candidates in English/Hindi. The mode of examination is offline, and students are required to write essays/précis/application, letter, etc. in this exam. The exam carries 100 marks and the time allotted for the same is 60 minutes.
SSC CGL Tier IV Syllabus
- DEST (Data Entry Speed Test): For the post of Tax Assistant (Central Excise and Income Tax), DEST Exam through SSC CGL 2021-22 exam is directed to check the composing pace of the competitor. The applicants are given an article in English which they need to type on Computer. A hopeful is required to type 2000 words in 15 minutes.
- CPT (Computer Proficiency Test): Word Processing, Spread Sheets and Generation of slides are the three modules that are vital for this exam, and the commission requests a possibility to be capable in it for the post of CSS, MEA, Inspector (Central Excise), Inspector (Preventive Officer), Inspector (Examiner).
