Jawaharlal Nehru Technology, Kakinada released the AP ECET Application Form 2022 on May 3rd, 2022. Candidates who want to appear for the exam must fill out the registration form available on the official website. What is AP ECET?

AP ECET is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Anantapur, on behalf of APSCHE for Diploma holders of Engineering & Technology, Pharmacy, and B.Sc Graduates. It is held for lateral entry admission (in second-year degree programs) in B.Tech, B.E, and B.Pharmacy Courses.

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria 2022

AP ECET eligibility criteria are different for each course. Here are a few key points on eligibility criteria:

  • They should be Indians.
  • The candidate must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh. They must satisfy the local/non-local status of the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions.
  • They must have a Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy from the State Board of Technical Education of Andhra Pradesh State or any other Diploma from an AICTE-approved institution recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh as equivalent for admission into the B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Pharmacy courses.

  • They should have passed the 3-year B.Sc Degree examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects in the group combination from a recognized University in the state or its equivalent for entry into relevant courses.
  • Candidates pursuing a Diploma course are eligible to get admission to the relevant B.E./B.Tech./B. Pharmacy courses. However, they must have completed the prescribed course and passed all the subjects for the award of diploma course before admission into the college.
  • Candidates should have passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology/ Pharmacy/ B.Sc Degree with a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) for admission into relevant courses.

AP ECET Eligibility Criteria For Lateral Entry Admissions

  • To get lateral entry admissions, candidates must have appeared and qualified for the exam. However, the candidates must have satisfied the other eligibility criteria requirements and other criteria laid down in admission rules.
  • Admission to 85% of the seats in each course shall be reserved for the local candidates, and the remaining 15% of the seats shall be un-reserved seats as specified in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulations and Admissions) Order, 1974.
  • While filling up the lateral entry seats based on the APECET scores, B.Sc stream students will be considered for admission only after exhausting all the qualified diploma holders.

AP ECET Application forms 2022 are available on the AP ECET official website. Follow the steps given below to register for the exam.

AP ECET Application Fee 2022

AP ECET application fee is INR 500 for all the candidates. Apart from this, a processing fee is also charged while marking the payment of the fee:

  • The available payment modes are Net banking/ Credit/ Debit card mode. 
  • The candidate can also pay the registration fee by cash at any AP ONLINE / TSONLINE centers.

How to Fill AP ECET Application Form?

After the fee payment, you can start filling out the application form. Go to “Fill Application” and enter all the details, including payment reference ID, Qualifying examination Hall ticket number, mobile number, and date of birth, and click on Proceed to fill the application form.

Here are the documents required while filling the application form:

  • A passport size photograph in .jpg or .jpeg of less than 50Kb.
  • Signature signed with a black pen on white paper scanned and saved as .jpg or .jpeg of less than 30Kb.

Print AP ECET Application Form

Once you have filled out the application form, Save and preview all the details entered. Once done, take a printout of the application for future references.

AP ECET Admit Card 2022

The AP ECET admit card 2022 will be available on the official website. You can download the same by entering your registration number and DOB. 

  1. Go to the JNTU official website.
  2. Click on AP ECET Hall Ticket.
  3. A login window will appear. 
  4. Type your application number and DOB to log in and download the admit card. 
  5. The window showing admit card will appear.
  6. Click on download admit card.
  7. After downloading the admit card, take a printout of the same. Follow the steps given below:

The exam will be held in 14 districts across Andhra Pradesh. While filling out the application form, you can choose up to 3 exam centers. Here is a complete list of Exam Centers:

AP ECET Exam Pattern 

Three different exams are conducted. Each exam is related to a specified UG course (lateral entry) for which the admission will be conducted based on the exam results. Here are AP ECET Exam Pattern highlights in detail.

AP ECET Results

The AP ECET Result 2022 will be released on the official website on behalf of APSCHE after the commencement of the exam. The result leads to lateral admission to 2nd year B.E/B.Tech/B.Pharmacy. Follow the steps given below to download the results.

  1. Visit the official website of the authority.
  2. Click on AP ECET Results 2022.
  3. Enter your Registration Number and Date of Birth
  4. Click on submit.
  5. Your result will get displayed on the screen.
  6. Download it and take a printout.

Based on these results, counseling will be done for the allotment of seats under various disciplines of UG courses.

AP ECET Qualifying Marks

Those who want to obtain a rank in the exam must have scored a minimum of 25% marks (of the total allotted marks). In simple words, you must score a minimum of 50 marks out of 200 marks to obtain a rank.

Note: There is no minimum qualifying percentage for candidates belonging to reserved categories.

AP ECET Counselling 

Based on the rank obtained in the exam, a Rank List will be prepared. Those who have scored the highest marks will be placed higher on the merit list.

Candidates whose name is listed in the merit list will be called for the document verification process. Then you need to take part in the registration and choice locking process.

If there is a tie between two or more candidates, the following methodology will be followed:

  • One with higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher.
  • In case of a tie still persists, then Marks of Physics and Chemistry will be compared.
  • If the tie is not resolved, who is elder will be placed higher.
  • To settle the case if the tie persists even after considering the above 3 parameters candidates will be awarded equal ranking.
