What is BTEUP?

BTEUP (Board of Technical Education Uttar Pradesh) Lucknow is a government college which provides 3-year diploma course to the High School passed students. The polytechnic course duration is of 3 years, and it contains six semesters and each semester is of 6 months. The board offers more than 60 affiliated programs for various disciplines. It has the duties of declaring the exam schedule, releasing admit card and results and also organising the annual semester wise exams.

The BTEUP provide the polytechnic diploma in the following disciplines:

How does the odd-even semester work at BTEUP?

Suppose a student gets a backlog in a subject in 1st semester, this implies that they have got a backlog in the odd semester and therefore will be able to reappear for the exam in odd semesters only (like 3rd and 5th semester). In simple words, the re-examination for odd semesters can be attempted in the upcoming odd semester’s only and similarly the even semester’s re-examination can be given in even semesters only.

BTEUP Exam Dates 2020 

The dates are yet to be released seeing the current situation of the pandemic outbreak in the country. The tentative BTEUP Exam Dates are given below:

BTEUP Eligibility Criteria 2020

It is always suggested that the candidates check the eligibility criteria of the examination before filling the application form for the same.  Only the applicants who meet the BTEUP Eligibility Criteria will be permitted to appear for the examination. The candidates who do not meet the mandatory requirements will not be eligible for the exam. The eligibility criteria vary according to the course group and trade opted by the student.

BTEUP Application Form 2020

The BTEUP Application Form will tentatively be available from the third week of June 2020. The authority has not released any official notification yet. The application form will be available only on the official website of BTEUP. The candidates who meet the eligibility of the exam will be able to fill the application form. The candidates must ensure that they fill all the details very carefully. The BETUP Application form 2020 is filled to get admission into various diploma courses offered by the colleges under BTEUP.

BTEUP Admit Card

The BTEUP Admit Card will be available in the online mode only. Only the applicants who have successfully registered for the BTEUP can download the hall ticket. The candidates can not sit in the exam without the admit card. The official date for the release of the admit card has not been declared yet. However, it is expected that the admit card will be released before a week or two of the examination.

BTEUP Selection Process

The selection process of this exam is quite simple and transparent. One written test is conducted for the candidates who wish to pursue diploma courses from the colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The candidates are then shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the exam and merit list is released. The applicants who make it to the merit list are then called for the counselling procedure for seat allotment and document verification. Once all these procedures are successfully conducted, a seat is allotted to the students, and the admission is confirmed.

BTEUP Exam Result

The BTEUP Result will be declared after the successful conduction of the exam. The results will be declared in the online mode only. The candidates will be able to download the results by logging in the website. The following details are mentioned on the result card:
