DCE Scholarship

DCE Scholarship stands for Directorate of Collegiate Education Scholarship which is a scholarship scheme run by the government of Kerala and its departments. It is also known as the Kerala Scholarship. The scholarship calls for applicants every year and a total of 16 scholarships are available under this scheme. This scholarship scheme ensures that the students can continue their education without worrying about the finances and to lower down the drop-out rate of students. The DCE Scholarship can be availed by students of all walks of life. It provides financial aid to meritorious students belonging to the state of Kerala. Eligibility Criteria

Only the candidates who meet the eligibility criteria devised y the scholarship providing authority will be able to avail the benefits f the scholarship. The candidates must carefully check the eligibility criteria before applying for the scholarship. The eligibility criteria vary depending upon the scholarship opted by the candidate. The complete scholarship-wise eligibility criteria for DCE Scholarships have been given below:

1. ITC Fee Reimbursement Scholarship, Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The applicants from Minority Community like Muslim, Christian, Parsi, Sikh, Buddhist and Jains and eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing an ITI course.

The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh/year.

2. C H Muhammedkoya Scholarship, Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: This Kerala scholarship is open for girl students only who belong to Muslim, Latin or converted Christian community.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing studies at graduation level or above. The percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the last qualifying examination should be 50% or more. The students studying in self-financing colleges from merit seat can also apply. The hostel stipend is available only for students residing in recognised hostels.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh.

3. APJ Abdul Kalam Scholarship (APJAK), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The students belonging to the Minority community (Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists) can apply for this scholarship.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be studying in a government/aided polytechnic in a merit seat.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh.

4. Prof. Joseph Mundassery Scholarship Award (PJMS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The candidates belonging to Minority community (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists) can apply for this scholarship.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing their education in class 10, 12 and VHSE.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh from all sources.

5. Mother Teresa Scholarship (MTS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The students belonging to the Minority community (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists) can apply for this scholarship.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing a nursing diploma/paramedical courses.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less INR 8 Lakh from all sources.

6. CA/ICWA/CS Scholarship (IWCS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The students belonging to the Minority community (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists) and pursuing CA/ICWA/CS courses can apply for this scholarship.

Educational Qualification: The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the last qualifying examination should be 60%.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh.

7. District Merit Scholarship (DMS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: The students pursuing studies at higher secondary, VHSC, ITI or Polytechnic course can apply. The candidate applying for the scholarship must have passed the SSLC examination conducted by the Board of Public Examination, Kerala State with an ‘A’ plus grade in all subjects.

8. State Merit Scholarship, Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: The students pursuing studies in the first year of an undergraduate or postgraduate course in a government/aided college or university can apply. The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the qualifying examination should be 50% or above.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 1 Lakh.

9. Sanskrit Scholarship (SSE), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: The scholarship is open for students pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate degree course with Sanskrit as a subject.

10. Muslim Nadar Girls Scholarship, Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The scholarship is open for girl students only who belong to forward of BPL family and backward community.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing studies in the first year of HSC/VHSC/undergraduate degree course at a government/aided arts and science college/university

11. Music Fine Arts Scholarship (MFAS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: The students studying in a Government Music College or Government Fine Arts College can apply for this scholarship.

12. Blind/PH Scholarship, Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: This scholarship is applicable to blind/physically handicapped/deaf students.

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing their studies in a government/aided Arts and Science Colleges, Music Colleges, Higher Secondary/Vocational Higher Secondary schools.

13. Hindi Scholarship (HS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: Students pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate course with Hindi as a subject can apply for this scholarship.

14. Suvarna Jubilee Merit Scholarship (SJMS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: The scholarship is applicable for students who are in the first year of any undergraduate or postgraduate degree program. The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the last qualifying examination is 50% or above.

Family Income: The candidate applying for the scholarship must belong to a BPL family.

15. Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) for Minorities, Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Applicant Community: The scholarship is open for students who belong to minority community (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists).

Educational Qualification: The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing their studies from class 11 to PhD level. The minimum percentage of marks to be obtained by them in the qualifying examination should be 50% or above or equivalent grade.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 2 Lakh.

16. Central Sector Scholarship (CSS), Kerala

Applicant Category: For all

Educational Qualification: The students, who are above the 80 percentile of successful candidates in class 12 from respective Board of Examination, can apply for this scholarship. The candidate applying for the scholarship must be pursuing regular degree courses at undergraduate or postgraduate level from institutions/colleges recognized by AICTE/UGC/MCI/DCI or any other regulatory authorities.

Family Income: The annual income of the family should be less than INR 8 Lakh from all sources.

  • INR 10,000 for candidates pursuing the 1-year course.
  • INR 20,000 for candidates pursuing the 2-year course.

  • For postgraduates – INR 6,000/year

  • Admission and tuition fee up to INR 10,000/year
