GCET Eligibility Criteria 2020 – Goa CET Admission Criteria

The Eligibility Criteria of GCET has been released along with the official notification. The candidates must thoroughly go through the eligibility criteria before registering for the exam. The eligibility criteria are the set of requirements that a candidate must fulfil in order to apply for an exam. The complete eligibility criteria are given below:

Nationality

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • Overseas Citizens of India (OCI), Persons of Indian origin (PIO) can also apply for GCET.
  • The NRI candidates with a valid passport can also apply under the NRI category.

Age Limit

  • There is no age limit applicable for Engineering Candidates in GCET.
  • For Homeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Sciences, Dentistry and Nursing,  candidates must have completed their 17 years of age as of the year of admission.

Marks Required

  • Candidates must have secured 45% Marks for General category candidates.
  • Candidates must have secured 40% Marks for SC/ST/OBC Candidates.

Qualification Details

B.Pharma

  • Candidates must have passed class XII or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and English as mandatory subjects and any one of the following Bio-Technology, Mathematics, Biology or Computer Science as an optional subject.

Engineering

  • Candidates must have passed class XII or equivalent examination from a recognized board or university.
  • The candidate must have Physics, Mathematics and English as mandatory subjects with additional subject as Biotechnology/Computer Science/Biology/Chemistry.
  • The applicant must have a minimum of 45% aggregate (40% for SC/ST/PH candidates).

BHMS & AHS

  • Candidates must have passed class XII or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject with minimum 50% marks(40% marks for SC/ST and OBC).

B.Sc Nursing

  • Candidates must have passed class XII or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English subject with minimum 45% marks aggregate (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

B.Arch

  • Candidates must have passed class XII or equivalent with Mathematics as a compulsory/optional subject.
  • The applicants must have scored a minimum of 50% marks aggregate(45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
  • Candidates must have qualified the NATA exam.
