NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2020 – Check Qualification, Age Limit

NMAT allows students to apply in any of the four campuses if NMIMS university along with 33 other colleges. It is a very crucial exam as if a candidate wishes to enrol in NMIMS they must appear in NMAT as NMIMS does not accept the score of any other entrance test. The applicants of NMAT can’t just apply in 37 colleges of India but also 7 in South Africa, and 5 in the Philippines. NMAT Eligibility Criteria 2020

However, before applying for NMAT 2020, the candidates must be aware of the eligibility criteria for it. The eligibility criteria for the NMAT 2020 has been prescribed by the conducting body GMAC. Though the eligibility varies for each course and college, the general eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • There is no age limit to be eligible for NMAT 2020.
  • The NMAT follows a no-reservation policy, and all sections and segments have an equal chance to bag a seat. However, there are some seats reserved for widows, wards of armed forces personnel killed and Kashmiri Migrants in some colleges.

The course-wise eligibility is as given below:

MBA (Mumbai Campus)

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.
  • The degree can be in any stream.
  • Candidates with a correspondence degree, distance learners and part-time graduates are not applicable. 

MBA HR [Mumbai Campus (Separate Selection Procedure)]

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.
  • The degree can be in any stream.
  • Candidates with a correspondence degree, distance learners and part-time graduates are not applicable. 

MBA Pharmaceutical Management [Mumbai Campus (Separate Selection Procedure)]

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.
  • The degree must be in Pharmacy, Life Science, MBBS, BDS, Science, BAMS, BHMS, B.Sc., or M.Sc. in Biotechnology.
  • Candidates with a degree in Psychology, Sociology, Economics, and B.Tech/B.E in biotechnology or Bio-Medical are also eligible.
  • Candidates with a correspondence degree, distance learners and part-time graduates are not applicable. 
  • Applicants having experience of working in pharmaceutical companies for two or more years are also eligible.

PGDM

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.
  • The degree can be in any stream.
  • Candidates with a correspondence degree, distance learners and part-time graduates are not applicable. 

For International Candidates

International/Foreign Candidates can also apply for NMAT 2020. However, they must qualify the following eligibility criteria:

  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute or university with a minimum aggregate of 50% or equivalent CGPA in the first attempt.
  • The candidate must have a GMAT score of 600 or above. 
  • Candidates having more than two or years of work experience are preferred.
  • The admission of the International Candidates is subject to the clearance of their student visa from the Indian Embassy.
  • International Candidates must have an AIU certificate in case they have graduated from a university overseas.
