Important Points About the Exam Pattern
Paper 1 is conducted entirely in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode.
Each subject in Paper 1 consists of 20 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) and 5 Numerical Value Questions.
Every correct answer carries 4 marks.
One mark is deducted for each incorrect MCQ answer.
There is no negative marking for Numerical Value Questions.
Candidates are advised to answer only those questions they are reasonably confident about to avoid losing marks due to incorrect MCQ responses.
The official exam pattern is prescribed by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and should be checked regularly for any updates before the examination.
