Educational Criteria
To be a programmer, you need a computer science, information technology, or electronics and communication degree. Alternatively, you can have an MCQ degree or an MBA in Information Technology from a recognized university.
All students must have a basic understanding of the Hindi Devnagari script and knowledge of Rajasthan’s history, geography, and culture.

RPSC Programmer Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
The RPSC Programmer Recruitment 2024 selection process involves several steps. First, candidates need to take a Written Exam. Those who pass the Written Exam will then undergo Document Verification, where their relevant documents will be checked. After the Document Verification, a Medical Examination will be conducted for the qualified candidates from the Written Exam.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus
- The RPSC Programmer Exam has two papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2. Paper 1 is worth 100 marks, and candidates have 2 hours to complete it. Similarly, Paper 2 is worth 100 marks, and the time limit is 2 hours. Both papers consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
- Each question has five options labeled 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Candidates must choose one option for each question. If a question is not attempted, the candidate should darken the circle corresponding to option ‘5’. If none of the five circles is darkened, one-third (1/3) of the marks for that question will be deducted.
- Candidates who need to darken any of the five circles for more than 10% of the questions will be disqualified. To qualify for the exam, candidates must score a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate from both Paper 1 and Paper 2. However, the minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST candidates are 36%.

Individuals chosen through the RPSC Programmer Recruitment 2024 for Programmer positions will receive a starting salary of Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200, as per the pay matrix at level 12. In addition to the base salary, selected candidates will receive extra benefits, including dearness allowance, transport allowance, house rent allowance, and other allowances and perks.
