The official notification of Indian Engineering Services Examination has been announced by the Union Public Service Commission, Along with this notification, IES Exam Pattern has been also announced on 25 September 2019. The prelims for the exam has been conducted on 5 January 2020 and the IES Mains Examination will be conducted on 28 June 2020. IES Exam Pattern 2020
- Exam Mode: Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be conducted via offline mode (i.e. Pen and Paper Based).
- Exam Type: IES Prelims Examination has only Objective type questions whereas IES Mains Examination has both type questions i.e. Subjective type or objective type questions.
- The language of Examination: English
- For each correct answer, 1 marks will be rewarded to you and for each incorrect answer, 1 marks will be deducted from your total marks.
IES Exam will be comprised into three sections:
- Stage 1 (IES Preliminary Examination)
- Stage 2 (Mains Examination)
