UPSEE Counselling 2024: Check the Complete Schedule

The authority will organize UPSEE Counselling after the successful conduction of the exam. Candidates who clear the exam and land on the merit list will be called for the counselling process by the conducting authority. It is conducted to provide admission to UG or PG programs that are offered by the institutes or colleges associated with AKTU University.

If candidates get a seat in any colleges or institutions in Uttar Pradesh, then they will not be able to change their seats. The authority can increase or decrease the number of colleges and courses and seats up to the counselling dates. 15% of the seats are reserved for the private and NRI institutes candidates as per the Uttar Pradesh Government’s rule.

For successful registration and complete procedure, candidates need to follow the below-given steps in the respective order they have listed:

• Register for the counselling process:
  • Registration
  • Document uploading (What documents you need to upload in the counselling form are listed below)
  • Payment of counselling fee
• Candidates need to verify their documents in the documents verification centers.
• Choice Filling.
• Declaration of seat allotment process.
• Seat allotment result.
• Giving the seat confirmation and paying the seat confirmation fee.
• For final confirmation, report at the reporting institutions and submit all the documents, and pay the remaining admission fee.

Step 1 – Registration for UPSEE Counselling

In the very first step, candidates need to register themselves for UPSEE Counselling Procedure using UPSEE Application Number and UPSEE Password. After successful registration, candidates need to pay counselling fee via online mode. They can pay their application fee via debit card/credit card or net banking. After successful registration, aspirants need to upload their required documents as mentioned in the instructions.

Step 2 – Document verification

Candidates need to upload their necessary documents and then verify all the documents. The file size should be 200KB while uploading the documents. The documents which you need to upload are given below:

• UPSEE Admit Card.
• UPSEE Rank Card.
• Class XII Certificate & marks sheet.
• Rural weightage certificate, if applicable.
• Domicile Certificate.
• Domicile Certificate of his/ her parents (Father OR Mother) if the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside of UP.
• Character certificate.
• Certificate of Medical Fitness/ Undertaking of Medical Fitness.
• Domicile certificate, if applicable.
• OBC/SC/ST Category certificate.
• Freedom fighters/Armed forces/ Physically handicapped Subcategory certificate as applicable.
• Income certificate for economically weak candidates.
• GDDA category certificate, if applicable.
• Other Documents are required, if applicable.
• After document verification, Once candidates uploaded their documents successfully, then the authority will provide them with an OTP for choice filling.

Step 3 – Filling of choices

In these steps, candidates need to fill their choices of colleges and courses as they desire.

Step 4 – Seat allotment result

The authority will allot seats to the candidates based on their choice filling, position in the merit list, and availability of the seats.

Step 5 – Seat Confirmation

For this step, candidates need to confirm their seat and select three options, i.e. Freeze, Float, and Withdrawal.

• Freeze – If candidates are satisfied with the allotted seat, they need to freeze it.
• Float – if candidates want any upgradation and want to change it, they can keep it on hold.
• Withdrawal – If they are not willing to participate in the further admission procedure, then they can leave their allotted seats.

Step 6 – Candidates need to reach the reporting centers for final acceptance and pay the remaining acceptance fee. After that, they are required to upload their documents for completing the admission formalities.

Admission Process for AKTU/UPTU Academic Session 

• Candidates need to report to the reporting centers/institution/colleges with the provisional allotment letter after successfully completing the counseling process.
• They need to carry along with all relevant documents (Original & one set of self-attested photocopies) & remaining amount fee for admission purposes mentioned in the provisional allotment letter.
• It is compulsory to pay the remaining admission fee to confirm their seat & admission.
• Otherwise, the seat will be allotted to another candidate.
• For those who are allotted a seat & get admission to the institution, the fee submitted during counselling, without any deduction, will be adjusted against the institution fee.

• Class 12^th Mark Sheet & Passing Certificate

• Domicile Certificate of Parents (If pass the qualifying exam outside of UP)
