After the successful declaration of the result, the administration also releases the UPSEE final merit list. Candidates whose names are in this final merit list can participate in the UPSEE Counselling process for admission purposes.

Features of UPSEE Merit List

  • UPSEE Merit list will inform us of the name of those candidates who successfully clear the UPSEE Examination and can participate in the counselling session.
  • Candidates’ categories, as well as overall ranks, are listed in the UPSEE Scorecard.
  • Ranks obtained by candidates will be based on their secured scores in the entrance examination and their fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
  • A separate merit list will be prepared for the UPSEE Examination for each course or category.
  • Dr.A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University will prepare a complete UPSEE Merit List and will release the admission committee or also available on the official website.

Inter se merit (Tie-Breaking Method)

Candidates who score higher marks in the UPSEE examination will get a lower rank on the UPSEE Merit List. If, in case, two or more candidates have the same marks on the UPSEE Score Card, then the tie-breaking method will follow for further processing:

  1. Firstly, the number of incorrect answers given. A candidate giving a lesser number of wrong answers will be placed at higher merit.
  2. Secondly,
  • B.Tech./B.Des./ MCA(Integrated): Marks obtained by the candidates in the Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry sections of Paper 1, respectively, and then by age.
  • B.Pharm.: Marks obtained by the candidates in the Biology, Chemistry, and Physics sections of Paper 2, respectively, and then by age.
  • B.Arch.: Marks obtained by the candidates in the Drawing Aptitude, Mathematics & Aesthetics sensitivity section of Paper 4, respectively, and then by age.
  • B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.): Marks obtained by the candidates in the AG-I, AG-II, and AG-III sections of Paper 3, respectively, and then by age.
  • BHMCT/BFAD/BFA/ MBA/MBA(Integrated)/ MCA/Lateral entry: By age only
  1. A candidate with the lowest application number will be ranked higher on the merit list.

UPSEE Cut off

As per the UP Govt. order, the UPSEE merit list cut off is 25% for general category candidates, and for SC/ST category students, it is 20%.

Cut off is the minimum marks required to score in UPSEE Examination for fulfilling the required eligibility criteria to get admission in the courses offered by the colleges associated with the AKTU University. As 70% of students are applying for engineering colleges or courses, so most of the cut off is prepared for the aspirants who are preparing to get admission in engineering courses, as the number of seats is also less than the number of students applied for the examination. Some government college seats are also reserved for the JEE Main Selection.

So only those candidates will be eligible to participate in the UPSEE counseling process who meet the minimum UPSEE cut off marks.

Conclusion

Results are declared after a few days of the exam. The registration for the UPSEE examination is extended till May , 2024. If, in case, you have not filled out the application form, do it now.

We hope that the information stated above helps you have a clear understanding of the topic.

Good luck!
