The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has updated the 70th Prelims and Mains exam exam pattern. They’ve released the syllabus and exam pattern for 2024. Candidates aiming for the Combined Competitive Exam (CCE) must understand these changes.

  • Prelims Exam now carries 150 marks, with 1 mark for correct answers and a deduction of 0.25 marks for wrong answers.
  • The Main exam now includes five papers: GS I, GS II, an Essay, General Hindi, and an Optional Paper.
  • The General Hindi and Optional Paper are qualifying in nature, each carrying 100 marks.
  • Candidates will be assessed out of 900 marks from GS I, GS II, and Essay papers.

The Bihar PCS examination is conducted in three phases:

Candidates who qualify for the BPSC Preliminary Examination stage will be eligible to take the Mains exam. After clearing the Mains examination, the qualified aspirants will be called for the Interview.
