BPSC Exam Pattern 2024: Marking Scheme, Number of Questions

Here is the complete BPSC Exam Pattern 2024 which will help you understand the type of questions, number of questions, marking scheme, etc.

BPSC (Bihar Public Service Commission) will recruit eligible candidates to fill a total of 575 vacancies for various posts through the 67th BPSC exam. Out of the 575 vacancies, 174 posts are reserved for women candidates and the rest 381 posts are for male candidates.

The authority has released the official Notification for 67th Combined Bihar Public Service Commission. The Bihar PCS examination is conducted in three phases:

  • Preliminary,
  • Mains, and
  • Interview Process.

Candidates who qualify for the BPSC Preliminary Examination stage will be eligible to take the Mains exam. After clearing the Mains examination, the qualified aspirants will be called for the Interview process.

The final list of selected candidates is made on the basis of the merit list.

BPSC Civil Services Preliminary Exam Pattern

  • Exam Mode: Offline/Pen and Paper-based Examination
  • Type of Question: Objective Type or Multiple Choice Questions
  • Time Duration: A total of 2 hours will be given to solve the question papers
  • Total Marks: The Question Paper is comprised of 150 Marks
  • There is No Negative Marking
  • A total of 150 questions will be asked in the question paper
  • For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded to the candidate

The Mains Exam is comprised of four papers, i.e.:

  2. General Studies (Code: 02) | Paper 1
  3. General Studies (Code: 03) | Paper 2
  4. Optional Subject (Code 04 – 34) | Paper 3
