AFCAT Eligibility Criteria for Ground Duty, Flying Posts (Male/ Female)

Indian Airforce organized every year two-time AFCAT Examination to fulfill various A grade gazetted officer in Flying Branch & Ground Duty Staff. This is the first cycle to fulfill these vacancy second cycle will be announced soon once it will be conducted successfully. Those who wish to apply or serve as a defense officer in Indian Airforce, need to apply for apply for AFCAT 2019. Those who want to apply they need to go through with the eligibility criteria which are formulated by the conducting authority for AFCAT 2019. AFCAT Eligibility Criteria for 01/2019 (Ground Posts)

A. Age Criteria for AFCAT

For Flying Branch 

  • Candidates minimum age should be 20 years old as on 1st of January 2020
  • Candidates maximum age should be 24 years old as on 1st of January 2020

Note: Candidates whose date of birth fall between 02nd January 1996 to 01st January 2000.

For Ground Duty (Technical/Non-Technical Branches)

  • Candidates minimum age should be 20 years old as on 1st of January 2020
  • Candidates maximum age should be 26 years old as on 1st of January 2020

Note: Candidates whose date of birth fall between 02 January 1994 to 01 January 2000.

B. Educational Qualification for AFCAT

Candidates will get education qualification criteria from below given information:

Flying Branch 

  • Candidates should have a Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University(with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level)/BE/B Tech.
  • Candidates who are appearing in Final Year/Semester can also apply for AFCAT Examination, but at the time of AFSB candidates need to produce their passing certification or degree from the recognized university with the minimum marks.
  • Those who are applying through CDSE (Combined Defence Service Examination) entry There will be no minimum percentage marks.

For Ground Duty (Technical)

  • Candidates should have cleared their graduation Degree with 60% marks from a recognized University in any discipline.
  • Candidates should have passed with a minimum of 60 % marks Section A & B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India from a recognized University.

For Ground Duty (Non-Technical)

  • Candidates should have passed with the minimum of 60 % marks Section A & B Examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India can apply for AFCAT.
