Indian Engineering Services (IES) continues to be the most sought-after career path for engineering graduates in India. The Engineering Services Examination, or ESE, is held once a year by the UPSC to recruit engineers for techno-managerial positions in four domains: civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and telecommunications. The exam consists of a two-stage written exam followed by an interview. Due to the limited number of available positions, the ESE is regarded as one of the most difficult examinations in India. Because of the highly competitive selection process, IES officers are held in high regard and are tasked with managing and carrying out activities in a variety of technical and managerial fields.
The cut-off is the minimum number of marks that a candidate or IES aspirant must achieve in order to pass the examination. Candidates who fall under these criteria will be selected for the examination. Those whose names appear in the merit list will qualify for the next stage. The examination is conducted into three phases, i.e., the first stage for the prelims examination, the second stage for the main examination, and the final stage for the personal interview. All stages have their own importance in the selection process, and each step has its own cut-off marks. After the conclusion of all three phases, a merit list will be created, which will be declared along with the IES result. Through this article, you will get the complete list of IES Cutoff 2020.
