  • The overall difficulty level of the GATE CE exam was moderate.
  • Numerical method questions had more weightage in GATE CE 2024.
  • The previous year’s GATE CE cutoff was 29.2 marks.

GATE CE Paper Analysis 2024 Shift 1

  • The overall difficulty level of GATE CE was moderate.
  • The GATE CE 2024 question papers comprised 7 MSC, 35 MCQ, and 23 NAT questions.
  • There was only one question from SOM modular ratio.

In 2020, the CE exam was divided into two sessions. It featured over 1.5 million students. This year, the number of questions from the environment section was increased. Geotech Engineering and Environment covered the majority of the questions. The paper also covered building materials, fluid mechanics, RCC, steel structure, hydraulics, surveying, transportation, structural analysis, and SOM. The following are the key takeaways:
