GATE CE Paper Analysis 2021

GATE Paper Analysis assists all the candidates to check the level of the exam. GATE CE 2021 Paper was held in the online mode, in two shifts. Here are the details regarding the same:

  • The was conducted in two sessions ( 9:30 AM – 12: 30 PM and 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
  • The Question Paper has a total of 65 questions with 100 Marks
  • The level of the GATE exam was moderate
  • Transportation, Environment, Geo-Tech topics were mostly asked in the exam
  • 25 questions out of the total were numerically based
  • Most of the questions were asked from Strength of Material, Transportation, H&I, Geotechnical, Structural Analysis,  FM & OCH, RCC, Environmental

GATE CE Paper Analysis 2020

The CE exam was held in two sessions. More than 1.5 lac students appeared in it. The number of questions from the environment section was increased this year. Most of the questions were asked from Geotech Engineering and Environment. Other topics in the paper were Building Material, Fluid Mechanics, RCC, Steel Structure, Hydrology, Surveying, Transportation, Structural Analysis, SOM. Here are the key takeaways:

  • The paper was conducted in two sessions i.e., 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm
  • The difficulty level of the paper was between easy to moderately difficult
  • The General Aptitude section was fairly easy
  • Geotech Engineering carried 15 marks
  • Environmental Engineering was of 14 marks
