The Joint Admission Board’s (JAB) JEE (Advanced) 2025 is the admission test for admission into the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and other prestigious universities. Eligibility Criteria for Admission-JEE Advanced 2025
Note: The requirement of 75 percent marks in Class 12 has been canceled now.
Candidates who wish to be admitted into any of the JEE Advanced participating institutes in 2025 will have to be eligible to take up the examination.
- Candidates must obtain the minimum qualifying marks and a position in the JEE Advanced rank list.
- Students applying for the B.Tech mining engineering course have to submit a medical fitness certificate in the admission process.
The counseling process is organized by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates who qualify for the exam need to register for JoSAA Counseling 2025. Admission to all the participating institutions of JEE Advanced 2025 will be through a centralized counseling and seat allotment process. Seats are allocated to each candidate based on rank obtained in JEE Advanced 2025.
Admission of Foreign Candidates
Who are foreign candidates?
All the students who are not citizens of India by birth and have studied or are studying abroad in class 12 or equivalent at the time of registering for JEE Advanced 2025 are treated as foreign nationals.
- Foreign candidates need to qualify for JEE Advanced for admission to IITs. Seats allotted to foreign nationals are supernumerary with a cap of 10% of the total number of seats in every course.
- Foreign candidates do not have to qualify for JEE Main to appear in JEE Advanced.
