SBI PO Eligibility Criteria

Before registering for the examination, the candidates must check the eligibility criteria. The candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria for the SBI PO, which are as given below:

Nationality
  • Citizen of India.
  • The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who has migrated from Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries of Zaire, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Malawi, with the intention of permanent settlement in India Candidates belonging to the category 2, 3, 4 must have a certificate of eligibility.
Education Qualification
  • Candidates wishing to apply for the post of SBI PO must be a graduate of a state or centrally recognized university in any discipline or have any other equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.
  • Candidates in their final semester/year are also eligible to apply, but they must submit a pass result by the deadline specified by the organization.
  • Candidates must produce evidence of passing their graduation or having a passed graduate degree by the bank’s deadline.
  • Aspirants who are pursuing an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that their passing date falls within the timeframe set by the organizing authority.
  • Candidates with a Chartered Accountant degree are also qualified to apply for the SBI PO position.
Age Limit Check the age requirement criteria before taking the exam, as being found ineligible later will result in your candidature being rejected. As of April 1, 2022, the applicant must be between the ages of 21 and 30. There is also an age relaxation provision for certain categories of aspirants.

Number of Attempts Applicants who have already appeared for the maximum number of permissible chances can not apply for the exam. Appearing in prelims won’t be counted as a chance. How to calculate the percentage for SBI PO percentage criteria?

Candidates must ensure that they fill out the application form according to the SBI PO percentage criteria, as only this will be taken into account when calculating their marks.

  • If the mark sheet or provisional certificate issued by the University/Institute is not received by the bank by the specified date, the candidature will be canceled. Any examination result posted on the University/website Institute will be considered the final date of passing that exam or semester.
  • In the online application, the candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in graduation, calculated to the nearest two decimals. If CGPA/OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted into a percentage and indicated in the online application.
  • If called for an interview, an applicant must present an original certificate issued by the appropriate authority stating the university’s rules for converting grades into percentages and percentages of marks.
  • Calculation of Percentage: The percentage will be calculated by dividing the total marks achieved by the applicant in all subjects in all semesters/years by the accumulated maximum marks in all subjects, regardless of honors/optional/additional optional subjects, if any. Marks obtained in fractions of a percentage will be ignored, for example, 59.99 % will be treated as less than 60 % and 54.99 % as less than 55 %.

SBI PO Age Limit
