GATE Application Form Correction 2022: How to Edit GATE Application Form?

The GATE Application Form correction will tentatively begin from October 2021. The conducting authority of the GATE 2022 will release the list of rejected applications that must be corrected by the candidates. IIT Kharagpur will be the conducting authority of the GATE 2022. The candidates will have to pay the correction fee depending on the correction that they have made. GATE Application Form Correction 2022

The application process of GATE 2022 will tentatively begin from October 2021. The correction will also start in the same month. The application form will be available in online mode only. IIT Bombay will announce the application form correction facility to edit/modify the application form. The registered candidates can correct by logging into their accounts. Candidates can edit their name,  date of birth, parent’s name, educational qualification details, and exam city.

The tentative schedule of the application form correction is as given below:

GATE Application Process starts from September 11, 2021
GATE Application Form Correction begins from October 2021
Facility to Change the Exam Center November 2021
Facility to change gender & category November 2021

Correction in Examination City

Candidates can edit/modify the Examination City if they have made an error in it while filling the application form. Correction can be done only in the online mode only. Candidates can log in to GOAPS Website. To log in, the candidates have to enter their Application ID/Email ID & Password and press the submit button. Candidates can also pay the application correction fee of  INR 750 after correction. Do not forget to take a printout of the modified Application form.

Correction in Gender & Category

Candidates can also make changes in Gender, Category, and PWD Status. Candidates can edit these details by logging into the GOAPS website by entering their Application ID/Email ID & Password and make the necessary changes in the application details. The correction will be done in the online mode only.

Application Fee Details for Gender & Category

  • The Application Fee for Gender Change is Rs. 750/-, candidates can change their Gender from Male to Female or Female to Male or Transgender.
  • The Application Fee for Category Change is Rs. 750/-, Candidates can change their category from SC/ST to Gen/OBC.
  • The Application Fee for PWD Status Change is Rs. 750/-, Candidates change from PwD to Non-PwD.
  • Exam Paper With the payment of 300 rupees or 10 dollars for candidates outside India.

Step 1:Visit The Official Website of GATE and log in by entering the Application ID/Email-ID & Password.

Step 2: Visit the GATE Application Form.

Step 3: Click on “Edit” and make changes in the GATE Application Form.

Step 4: Submit Changes of GATE Application Form.

Step 5: In the last step, pay the GATE correction fee and take a printout of the modified application form.
