MAT Exam Pattern 2024: Syllabus, Marking Scheme & Question Paper

The MAT exam syllabus for 2024, set by the All India Management Association (AIMA), is consistent with other MBA entrance exams. It encompasses five subjects: Language Comprehension, Intelligence and Critical Reasoning, Data Analysis and Sufficiency, Mathematical Skills, and Indian and Global Environment. The MAT 2024 syllabus remains the same across all three modes – IBT, PBT, and CBT.

Designed to assess an MBA aspirant’s analytical skills, logical aptitude, English comprehension, and general awareness, the MAT 2024 syllabus includes topics common to all modes. Each section in the MAT exam comprises an equal number of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). While the score from the Indian and Global Environment section doesn’t contribute to the MAT percentile calculation, it still accounts for 40 marks.

A total of 200 questions are to be attempted over 150 minutes in the MAT exam with each section having 40 questions. The score of Indian & Global Environment will not be considered while forming the merit list.
