How to apply for NEET 2024?

The candidates can follow the steps given below to apply for NEET 2024:

The application procedure comprises four steps.

1) Visit the official website and fill out the form.

2) Upload the required documents.

3) Make the payment.

4) Take a printout of the confirmation page.

1. FILLING FORM

  • NEET Application Form 2024 will be available through online mode only.
  • Visit the official website.
  • Register on the website by filling in the mandatory details like personal details, contact information, qualification details, etc.

2. UPLOADING THE IMAGES/ THUMB IMPRESSION/ AND SIGNATURE

  • Upload the scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and impression of your index finger in the given format.

3. PAYMENT MODE

  • Pay your application fee online or offline at your convenience.

4. TAKE A PRINTOUT OF THE CONFIRMATION PAGE

  • After successfully submitting the application fee, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
  • The application of the candidates who haven’t received their digitally generated confirmation page will be treated as canceled.

Steps to Retrieve Forgotten NEET Application Number

In case the candidates forget the NEET login password, they can easily reset it using the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of NEET.
  • Click on the link “NEET 2024 Find Application No.”
  • Enter your credentials.
  • Enter your Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, DOB, Category, and Security PIN and click on submit.
  • You will receive the application number on your registered mobile number.

Steps to Retrieve Forgotten NEET Password

In case the candidates forget the NEET login password, they can easily reset it using the steps mentioned below:

  • Visit the official website of NEET.
  • Click on the ‘Forgot Password’ button.
  •  Enter your NEET Application Number, Name & Date of Birth
  • Candidates will be provided with two options- through OTP/ through Security Question.
  • Choose any one of the above-mentioned options.
  • Retrieve your password and make sure you save it this time.

  • For General and OBC candidates, the application fee is INR 1500/-
  • For SC/ST & PH candidates, the application fee is INR 800/-
  • Candidates can pay the application fee both online(debit or credit card) and offline mode(e-challan of Syndicate, SBI, ICICI Bank, or HDFC bank).

NEET Common Service Centres/ Facilitation Centers

NEET Photo Size Format

  • The passport-sized photograph of the candidate must be clicked on a clear background.
  • Candidates must mention their name and date of the click on the passport-size photograph.
  • The passport-size photograph should not be more than four months old.
  • The passport-size photographs should have either a blue or a white background.
  • Candidates need to click their passport-size photographs with a relaxed face.
  • Do not upload blurred images in the application form, as it can lead your candidature towards cancellation.
  • Those clicking their picture through their smartphone must ensure that they do not have a red eye or eye glow in the picture.
  • Candidates with spectacles must ensure their glasses do not glare during the click.
  • Passport-size photographs should be taken in school uniform.
  • The format of the photographs should be JPEG or JPG.
  • The passport size photograph size should be between 1 Kb to 100 Kb.
  • The dimensions of the passport-size photographs should lie between 3.5 cm(height)* and 4.5 cm(width).
