UP Government has announced notification for the recruitment of 68,500* Assistant Teachers for various primary schools in the state. UPTET Exam is conducted by UPBEB to recruit teachers at various government schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. How to Apply for UPTET 2024?
UPTET Notification was released on October 2023, and the online Application Form was made available for aspirants on October 2023. The last date of filing the Application Form was October 2023 via online mode only. Check below for steps to fill UPTET Application Form 2023.
The UPTET Application Form can be filled in Four Steps. Check below;
1: Online Registration
- Candidates must visit the UPTET Official Website (Link will provide above).
- Candidates need to fill in all the required information like Name, Educational Qualification, Personal Details, and other details carefully.
- Candidates must upload scanned images of their recent passport size Photograph and Signature.
- All the candidates must select the district at the time of UPTET Registration from which the candidate wants to appear.
2. Application Fee
Candidates can pay the Application Fee in the Online mode.

3. Document Upload
- Once the Application Fee is paid, candidates must upload the required documents.
- Documents include Photograph, Signature, Identity Proof, Intermediate mark sheet.
- Candidates who are looking for a reservation, need to upload required documents or certification before the last date of application form submission.
- Once candidates have paid the application fee, they need to mention bank transaction ID (provided by the Bank), Registration Number, Date of Birth while submitting the application form.
4: Print the Application Form
- Candidates must take a printout of the online application form and save it for future use.
- To do so, candidates must log in with their Application ID and Password.
- The Application Form will appear on the computer screen. Candidates can download the Application Form and take a printout of the same.
UPTET Education Qualification
Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1-5)

- Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the 2nd Year of BTC are eligible.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
- Candidates must have completed their graduation or are in the final year of D.Ed are eligible.
- Candidates who are currently studying in the final year B.EL.ED are eligible.
- Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the final year of the diploma are also eligible.
Qualification for Primary teachers (Class 6-8)

- Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the 2nd Year of BTC are eligible.
- Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.

UPTET 2024 recruitment test comprises of two papers (Paper I & Paper II). Candidates aspiring to work as Primary Teachers (Class I to V) have to appear for Paper I only. Candidates who want to teach Class VI to VIII must appear for Paper-II. However, candidates willing to teach Class I to VIII must appear for both Paper I & II. - The authority will organize it via online mode only.
- The question paper will be asked in bilingual – English and Hindi (Except language Subjects))
- The question paper contains MCQs type of questions i.e. Multiple Choice Questions
- There is no negative marking.
- A total of 150 Questions will be asked in the UPTET Examination.
- For each correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark.

UPTET Cut Off 2024
Cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the UPTET Examination which is decided by the conducting authority on the basis of various factors i.e. number of students appearing in the examination, seats applied, and marks obtained by the candidates in the examination.
The UPTET Cut Off will be determined on the basis of following conditions:
- General Category candidates who secure 60% marks in the examination will qualify for the UPTET Examination.
- Qualifying Marks for the OBC/SC/ST and PWD candidates is 55%.
