UPTET 2021 Notification, Exam Date, Application Form, Syllabus, Eligibility, and Exam Pattern

UPTET Exam (Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test) is a state-level exam conducted by UPBEB (Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board) for the recruitment of Primary and Upper Primary Level teachers in various schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. UP Government has announced notification for the recruitment of 68,500* Assistant Teachers for various primary schools in the state. As per the latest UPTET 2021 Notification, the UPTET 2021 exam that was scheduled to be held on 28th November, 2021 will be now held on 23rd January, 2022.

UPTET 2021 Exam Dates

UPTET Exam is conducted by UPBEB to recruit teachers at various government schools in the state of Uttar Pradesh. UP Government has announced notification and UPTET Exam Dates for recruitment of 68,500* Assistant Teachers for various junior schools in the state. The application form of UPTET will be released on the second of February 2021.

How to Apply for UPTET 2021?

UPTET Notification was released on 4th October 2021, and the online Application Form was made available for aspirants on 4th October 2021. The last date of filing the Application Form was 25th October 2021 via online mode only. Check below for steps to fill UPTET Application Form 2021.

The UPTET Application Form can be filled in Four Steps. Check below;

1: Online Registration

  • Candidates must visit the UPTET Official Website (Link will provide above).
  • Candidates need to fill in all the required information like Name, Educational Qualification, Personal Details, and other details carefully.
  • Candidates must upload scanned images of their recent passport size Photograph and Signature.
  • All the candidates must select the district at the time of UPTET Registration from which the candidate wants to appear.

2. Application Fee

Candidates can pay the Application Fee in the Online mode.

3. Document Upload

  • Once the Application Fee is paid, candidates must upload the required documents.
  • Documents include Photograph, Signature, Identity Proof, Intermediate mark sheet.
  • Candidates who are looking for a reservation, need to upload required documents or certification before the last date of application form submission.
  • Once candidates have paid the application fee, they need to mention bank transaction ID (provided by the Bank), Registration Number, Date of Birth while submitting the application form.

4: Print the Application Form

  • Candidates must take a printout of the online application form and save it for future use.
  • To do so, candidates must log in with their Application ID and Password.
  • The Application Form will appear on the computer screen. Candidates can download the Application Form and take a printout of the same.

UPTET Education Qualification

Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1-5)

Check below the UPTET Eligibility Criteria for Primary Teachers for Class 1 to 5:

  • Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the 2nd Year of BTC are eligible.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
  • Candidates must have completed their graduation or are in the final year of D.Ed are eligible.
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year B.EL.ED are eligible.
  • Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the final year of the diploma are also eligible.

Qualification for Primary teachers (Class 6-8)

Check below the UPTET qualification for Primary Teachers for Class 6 to 8:

  • Those candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the 2nd Year of BTC are eligible.
  • Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in the intermediate examination.
  • Candidates must have completed their graduation or are in the final year of D.Ed are eligible.
  • Candidates who are currently studying in the final year B.EL.ED are eligible.
  • Candidates who have completed their graduation or are in the final year in the diploma are also eligible.

UPTET Age Limit

To apply for the UPTET Exam, the age of the candidates must be in between 18 years to 35 years. There is age relaxation for candidates from different categories. Check age limit below:

UPTET 2021 recruitment test comprises of two papers (Paper I & Paper II). Candidates aspiring to work as Primary Teachers (Class I to V) have to appear for Paper I only. Candidates who want to teach Class VI to VIII must appear for Paper-II. However, candidates willing to teach Class I to VIII must appear for both Paper I & II. Check details for UPTET Exam Pattern below:

  • The authority will organize it via online mode only.
  • The question paper will be asked in bilingual – English and Hindi (Except language Subjects))
  • The question paper contains MCQs type of questions i.e. Multiple Choice Questions
  • There is no Negative marking.
  • A total of 150 Questions will be asked in the UPTET Examination.
  • For each correct answer, you will be awarded 1 mark.

UPTET Admit Card 2021

The UPTET Admit Card will be released 15 days before the examination. Candidates must download the same from the official website. The steps to download the admit card are::

  • Provide all the necessary details – Registration Number and Date of Birth
  • Click on Submit
  • UPTET Admit Card would appear on the screen

UPTET Result 2021

The UPTET Result will be announced on 25th February, 2022. The result will be displayed on the official website of the UPTET, and the UPTET Answer Key will be released on 27th January, 2022. Here are the steps to download the UPTET Result:

  • Enter the Roll number.
  • View the result and save it for future use.

Candidates can also get a copy of the UPTET OMR Sheet by paying the Fee of Rs. 500/- through DD  in the favour of “Secretary, Examination Controller Officer”.

UPTET Answer Key 2021

The UPTET Answer Key will be released in 27th January, 2022. Candidates can download the UPTET Answer Key from the official website of UPTET.

Steps to check the Answer Key are:

  • Visit the official UPTET website: upbasiceduboard.gov.in
  • Click on the Answer Key link.
  • Enter the roll number.
  • View the scores and save them for future use.

UPTET 2021 Selection Process

Candidates who secure 60% marks for General Category and 55% for ST/ST and OBC category candidates will qualify for the UPTET. The category-wise qualifying marks are listed below:

UPTET Cut Off 2021

Cut off is the minimum marks required to qualify for the UPTET Examination which is decided by the conducting authority on the basis of various factors i.e. number of students appearing in the examination, seats applied, and marks obtained by the candidates in the examination.

The UPTET 2021 Cut Off will be determined on the basis of following conditions:

  • General Category candidates who secure 60% marks in the examination will qualify for the UPTET Examination.
  • Qualifying Marks for the OBC/SC/ST and PWD candidates is 55%.

UPTET Qualifying Marks

General category candidates who score 60% or above would be considered qualified for the exam, and Reserved category candidates (SC/ST/OBC) need to score 55% to qualify for the exam.
