National Level Entrance Exams

• JEE Main Examination

JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Main is a national-level examination. It is managed by the NTA ( National Testing Agency). It is organized to screen candidates for the UG engineering and architecture programs. NIT, CFITs, and other institutions offer these courses. It is also the eligibility test for the JEE Advanced exam for admission to IITs & ISM. An Aadhaar Card is compulsory to fill out the application form. 

• JEE Advanced Examination

The JEE Advanced examination is organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB) on a rotating basis. It is a national-level entrance test. This exam is organized to provide admissions in UG, Integrated PG, or UG-PG Dual Degree courses. It is offered in engineering, architecture, sciences, or pharmaceutics. It is the second stage of the JEE Main exam. 

• GATE Examination

GATE is referred to as the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering. It is a national-level engineering entrance exam organized by IITs & IISC rotationally. In 2021, this exam was regulated by the India Institute of Technology (IIT), Madras. It is a perfect gateway for those aspirants seeking admission in postgraduate engineering/technology/architecture/science courses offered by top colleges in the country. 

The GATE 2024 examination is tentatively scheduled to be held on:

• IIT JAM Examination

The Joint Admission Test for M.Sc (IIT JAM) is a national-level entrance test. Various IISc or IITs manage it on a rotation basis. This year, the JAM 2022 exam will be regulated by the IIT, Roorkee. After clearing this exam, candidates will be eligible for admission to M.Sc, Joint M.Sc-Ph.D, and M.Sc-M.Tech., M.Sc-Ph.D dual degree & other courses. 

The JAM 2024 examination will be held on February 11, 2024.

• ICAR AIEEA Examination

Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts the AIEEA (All India Entrance Examination for Admission) examination. ICAR’s 24th All India Examinations (AIEEA) will be organized in July 2024. This examination is organized for admissions in UG, PG & doctoral programs in engineering, agriculture, and other fields. The registration is likely to begin in the first week of March 2024.

• BITSAT Examination

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, organizes a university-level entrance test. This test is called the Birla Institute of Technology & Science Admission Test (BITSAT). It is organized to provide admissions to students in the first year of UG engineering programs. Through this exam, candidates can also get admission to pharmacy & science courses, i.e B.Pharm & M.Sc. These courses are offered by BITS and its other campuses.

The registration process for BITSAT 2024 examination is expected to begin in the fourth week of May 2024.

• LPU NEST Examination

LPU University organizes the Lovely Professional University National Eligibility and Scholarship Test (LPU NEST). It is a university-level examination. This exam is organized to select appropriate students for admission to engineering courses. Candidates can also gain admission into law, management, agriculture, etc., through this exam.

• SRMJEEE Examination

SRM University organizes the SRM Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (SRMJEEE). It is a university-level exam conducted to provide admissions to UG engineering courses. It offers admission in these courses offered by its Kattankulathur, Ramapuram Chennai, and Haryana campuses.

• UPESEAT Examination

UPESEAT (University of Petroleum and Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test) is managed by UPES, Dehradun. It is a university-level examination. This exam is conducted to offer admissions in B.Tech & B.Tech+LLB (Hons.) programs. The university organizes 37 Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) programs in various disciplines. • VITEEE Examination

VITEEE, also known as VIT Engineering Entrance Examination, is a university-level entrance test. VIT University organizes this exam. Through this exam, candidates will be selected for admission in B.Tech programs offered by its Vellore, Chennai, Bhopal, and AP campuses.

• VITMEE Examination

VITMEE (VIT University Master’s Entrance Examination) is a university-level exam conducted by VIT University. It is conducted to provide admissions into various postgraduate courses like M.Tech, MCA, etc. The exam will be conducted on the CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. Candidates will be admitted to IT University campuses in Vellore & Chennai through this exam.

• PESSAT Examination

PESSAT University organizes a university-level examination which is PES Scholastic Aptitude Test (PESSAT). • MU OET Examination

Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU OET) is a university-level entrance test. This exam is organized by Manipal University for screening candidates for admissions in UG and PG courses in the field of engineering, medical, management, pharmacy, etc. This exam will be conducted through CBT (Computer Based Test) mode.

 

• BVP CET Examination

BVP CET (Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University Common Entrance Test) is regulated by Bharti Vidyapeeth Deemed University. It is conducted for selecting students for admissions in Bachelors’s and master’s programs offered in various disciplines. These courses are offered in the fields of engineering, management, law, pharmacy, etc.

• SAAT Examination

SAAT is also referred to as the Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan University Admission Test. It is a gateway for those students seeking admission to different UG and PG courses in engineering, management, and many other fields. It is a national-level examination. 

• Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) Examination

Symbiosis International University owes the authority to conduct the Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET). It is a university-level test conducted for admissions in UG courses offered by Symbiosis constituent institutions. KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam) is managed by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. It is the University level examination. • AEEE Examination

Amrita Engineering Entrance Examination (AEEE) is a university-level entrance test. Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham organizes it. This exam is conducted to provide admissions in B.Tech degree courses offered by its Amritapuri, Bengaluru, and Ettimadai campuses.

• IISER Admission

IISER Aptitude Test is conducted by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISER). It is conducted for admission to the Integrated BS-MS dual degree program offered by the science and research in the 6 IISER institutes in India. The admission into this course will also be based on the KVPY & JEE Advanced score. The application form for all three streams will be released on different dates.

• ISI Admission Examination

ISI (Indian Statistical Institute) regulates a national-level entrance test in name of the ISI Entrance Exam. This is organized for selecting students for admission into various UG, PG, diploma/certificate & doctoral degree courses. The courses will be offered in Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, Computer Science, and Quality, Reliability & Operations Research.

• NIFT Examination

The NIFT entrance exam is a university-level examination. This exam is conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology, Mumbai. It is organized to provide admissions in UG and PG programs offered in the design field. The exam will be conducted offline (pen- and paper-based).

• IISC Examination

IISC is one of the leading institutions for providing education in technological research and advanced science. This institution offers admissions in various UG and PG courses based on rank secured in the national-level entrance test. • IIST Admission

IIST (Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology) is one of the famous institutions of India. The Institution offers admissions in various UG and PG courses in different fields. Admissions in B.Tech courses will be given on the ranks secured in JEE Main 2022 or JEE Advanced 2022 examinations. Candidates can fill out the application in May 2022 for UG courses.

CUCET (Central Universities Common Entrance Test) is an all-India level examination. This exam is organized jointly by the ten central universities. • CUSAT Examination

CUSAT (Cochin University of Science and Technology) organizes the CAT (Common Admission Test), LET (Lateral Entry Test), and DAT (Departmental Admission Test) exams. • Pondicherry University 

Pondicherry University is a central university that conducts the Pondicherry University Entrance Exam. It is a university-level exam. It is conducted to screen candidates for admission to diploma and other degree courses in engineering, management, science, etc. 

• AMU Examination

AMU (Aligarh Muslim University) regulates an entrance examination for admissions in various degree and diploma courses. • IPU CET Examination

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University organizes a university-level examination called IPU CET (Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test). • JNU Admission 

Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) is a university-level entrance test managed by Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. It is organized to select appropriate students for admission in different undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

• Delhi University Admission

CIPET Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is managed by the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering & Technology (CIPET). This exam is conducted for admissions in PGD-PPT, PGD-PTQM, DPMT, and other courses offered by CIPET. The university also offers UG & PG degree courses, i.e. BB/B. Indian Maritime University administers the Indian Maritime University Common Entrance Test (IMU CET). It is conducted for admissions in UG and PG courses in engineering, management, etc. Candidates will be admitted to IMU and its affiliated institutions through this exam.

• VSAT Examination

VSAT, or Vignan’s Scholastic Aptitude Test, is a university-level exam. Vignan University conducts this exam. It is organized for selecting students for admission in B.Tech courses. These courses are offered by Vignan’s University and its associated campuses. The admissions into the B.Tech course will also be through JEE Main & EAMCET.

GITAM Admission Test (GAT) is a university-level examination. This examination is conducted by the Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM) University. AP EAMCET Examination

BCECE Examination

Haryana DET Examination

HP PAT Examination

JKCET

JKCET (Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test) is organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE). It is organized to provide admissions to students in engineering and architecture courses. The application forms will be available in a short time.

• Kerala

KEAM Examination

Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala, organizes the KEAM (Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Exam) exam. This exam is conducted for admissions to professional degree courses in engineering. This exam will be conducted offline.

Kerala Polytechnic Examination

KCET

Karnataka Polytechnic Admission Examination

MP PPT Examination

Odisha DET Examination

Odisha DET is a state-level admission procedure conducted by the Directorate of Technical Education & Training, Odisha. OJEE Examination

Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) is the state-level entrance test administrated by the state government. This exam is organized for admission to various engineering, management, and other courses. • Pondicherry

CENTAC Examination

CENTAC (Central Admission Committee), Puducherry, organizes the admission process for UG courses offered in engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, and many other fields. Admissions will be given based on the merit list of the qualifying examination.

• Punjab

Punjab JET Examination

Punjab State Board of Technical Education & Industrial Training, Chandigarh (PSBTE & IT) is the authority that conducts Punjab JET. It is organized for admission in diploma courses offered by different polytechnic colleges of Punjab state. No examination will be conducted by the authority. The admission will be based on class 10th marks.

PTU Examination 

Punjab Technical University (PTU) offers admission to B.Tech courses based on marks scored by the candidates in the national level exam (JEE Main). This university conducts admission through centralized counseling. It also offers admission through lateral entry in the B.Tech programs. The university also organizes admission for different UG & PG courses.

• Rajasthan

Rajasthan Polytechnic Examination

Rajasthan Polytechnic admissions will be organized by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Rajasthan. It is conducted for admissions in engineering and non-engineering diploma courses. Admissions will be provided to students based on the high school merit list.

The Board of Technical Education, Rajasthan, regulates the Rajasthan Engineering Admission Process (REAP). This process is organized for admission to the UG program like B.E./B.Tech is offered by various Government-aided and Private unaided technical institutions of Rajasthan state. The authority will conduct no entrance exam. The admission will be based on JEE Main score or class 12th merit.

JET Agriculture Examination

JET Agriculture, also known as Rajasthan JET, is managed by the Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur. Through this examination, students will get admission to B.Tech-Food Technology, B.Sc. Agriculture/ Horticulture/ Forestry (Honours) and other courses. It is a state-level examination.

TS EAMCET Examination

TS EAMCET is a state-level entrance test regulated by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad. It is conducted to select candidates for admission in different UG professional courses offered by various colleges of Telangana. Telangana State Polytechnic Common Entrance Test (TS Polycet) is a state-level polytechnic entrance test. The Telangana State Board of Technical Education organizes this exam. TS ECET

Telangana State Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS ECET) is conducted for admission to B.Tech lateral entry and B.Pharma course. Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, organized this exam. Only diploma holders & B.Sc (Mathematics) candidates can apply for this exam.

• TamilNadu

TNEA Examination

TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) is supervised by Anna University for admissions into various engineering programs. Admissions will be offered based on marks scored in the 12th standard. It is the state-level admission process.

TANCET

TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) is a state-level examination. The Anna University, Chennai, manages this examination. It is organized for candidates who seek admission into PG engineering, management, etc courses, i.e. ME/M.Tech/M.Arch/M.Plan. MBA & MCA. The application form will be released shortly.

UKSEE

UKSEE (Uttarakhand State Entrance Exam) is a state-level entrance test. Uttarakhand Technical University organizes this exam. UPCET Counselling and Admission for degree-level engineering institutions and other professional colleges is organized by Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. It is conducted for admissions in UG and PG courses in different fields. It is also organized for lateral entry admissions in engineering, management, etc.

JEECUP (Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh) is a state-level examination. The Uttar Pradesh Board of Technical Education conducts this examination. Through this exam, candidates will be eligible for admission to diploma courses in engineering, technology, pharmacy, etc.

• West Bengal

WBJEE

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board organizes the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). It is held to select candidates for admissions in UG programs in various fields such as engineering & technology, architecture & pharmacy courses. The application for this examination will be received online.

JEXPO 

JEXPO (WB Polytechnic) is organized by the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education (WBSCTE). It is a state-level examination through which candidates will get admission into various polytechnic courses. Various government, government-sponsored, and self-financed polytechnic colleges in West Bengal offer these courses.
