As there is only 30000 seat available in the IITs, NITs and GFTIs; So the competition level is high; Candidates will not got seats in the IITs or NITs, then they are looking to get admission into GFTIs. Those who got selection will be eligible to get admission in  to B.Tech/B.E, B.Arch/B.Plan. programmes in various NITs, IIITs and Government Funded Technical Institutions(GFTIs). National testing agency (NTA) is the new conducting authority of JEE Main Examination. It is the national level engineering entrance examination. From 2019 JEE Main will be conducted twice in a year. The registration process will be started from 1st September 2018 and till continue for 30th September 2018 for January and 8th February to 7th March 2019 for February session. The result will be announced in the month of April 2019 for both session. JoSAA will be conducted the online counselling for allotting seats to the GFTIs. As Joint Entrance Exam will be conducted twice in a year from as of now for January Session and April so candidates have two opportunity in a single year. So the competition level is too high and the question papers will be fully online mode.
